Sarah was my grandmother,
She was born in Coffee Co. Tenn in 1920. She was raised by her father & Step-mother. Her real mother
was accidentaly shot by an uncle (her mothers brother)when Sarah was around 6yrs. old.
My Grandma Sarah died when I was 13, She had been in & out of the hospital a while & I remember my
mamma calling me and telling me she was there, but I was a kid & had more important things to do at
the time than to go to the hospital & visit I went to the FAIR.& was spending the night with a
friend. They came & picked me up that night & told me she was gone.
I have never forgotten that or her. I named my second Daughter Sarah, after her!
I am Thankful for this site so She can finaly be remembered by us all & we can light candles for
her.
My grandma was only 50 when she died, a year younger than I am now. She had 8 children.
She left behind her,her loving husband (my grandfather), who lived another 17yrs. alone.
She left behind 2 sons Tom & Joe and 4 daughters,Stella whom is my mother. Mae, Sharon & Barb. My
mother was the oldest child at (32).My grandma had a 6yr.old daughter Vickie Sue that was ran over
by a car & a 18 yr old son Jimmy Lee that was killed by accident several yrs. before her death.
My grandma also left several grandchildren. She now has several more & lots & lots of greats that
she never got to see.
She was a beautiful, kind, loving person and we who knew her have always missed her dearly .
RIP Grandma, Im sorry I wasn't there that day!
I have always loved & miss you!
Your Granddaughter, Kathy

Tribute to my Grandma,Poem written by Nila Meehan

THE YOUNGER KIDS SAY, THEY CAN'T MUCH RECALL, THAT SWEET KIND OLD WOMAN, WE ALL CALLED GRANDMA.
BUT IN MY MIND, THE MEMORIES OF HER, ARE THE BEST OF ALL.

I CHERISH THE MEMORIES I HAVE OF HER, THEY STAND CLEAR IN MY MIND, WITH NEVER A BLURR.
OF THE DAYS BACK THEN, AND THE WAY THINGS WHERE.

THOSE WARM TENDER THOUGHTS ARE TO MY HEART A DELIGHT.I REMEMBER GOING MANY TIMES TO SPEND THE NIGHT. AND PLAYING WITH THE OLD CAT SHE CALLED SNOW WHITE.

OFTEN SHE WOULD BE BAKING FRESH YEAST BREAD. AS ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE THE AROMA WOULD SPREAD. SHE HAD A LARGE FAMILY, AND MADE SURE THEY WERE FED.

ALWAYS A SMILE AND PLEASANTLY PLUMP, I CAN STILL HEAR HER SAY "SIT UP STRAIGHT! YOUNG LADIES DON'T SLUMP". AND I WOULD HELP HER FETCH WATER FROM THE OLD WATER PUMP.

SHE GAVE US OUR LICKINS WHEN WE WHERE BAD, BUT CUDDLED US TENDERLY WHEN WE WERE SAD. AND SHE TAUGHT US TO BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THAT WE HAD.

SHE ADORED AND HONORED HER HUSBAND, OUR GRANDPA. TO HER THAT MAN STOOD TEN FEET TALL. AND SHE LOVED ALL US CHILDREN, BOTH LARGE AND SMALL.

IT'S BEEN MANY YEARS NOW SINCE GRANDMA PASSED AWAY. BUT THOSE MEMORIES OF HER, IN MY HEART WILL ALWAYS STAY. AND I'LL SEE HER AGAIN IN HEAVEN SOME DAY.

written in loving memory of Sarah Weaver,, my beautiful Grandmother,,you will always be in my heart Grandma, I love and miss you STILL,, your grandaughter Nila, xxxxx

Grandma

Little did we know that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Angel

In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
In our hearts you hold a place
No one else can steal.

Roses For Grandma

IF ROSES GROW IN HEAVEN LORD,PEASE PICK A BUNCH FOR ME.PLACE THEM IN MY GRANDMAS ARMS,AND TELL HER THEY'ER FROM ME.TELL HER I LOVE AND MISS HER, AND WHEN SHE TURNS TO SMILE PLACE A KISS UPON HER CHEEK AND HOLD HER FOR AWHILE.BECAUSE REMEMBERING HER IS EASY, I DO IT EVERY DAY,BUT THERE IS STILL AN ACHE WITHIN MY HEART, THAT WILL NEVER GO AWAY.
